2 Playa del Carmen Reef Dives Immerse yourself in the vibrant underwater world of Playa del Carmen, where warm waters and gentle currents make for an incredible diving experience. Explore colorful reefs teeming with marine life, perfect for divers of all levels.
2 Cozumel Marine Park Dives Drift along Cozumel’s breathtaking walls, a marine park home to over 30 species of coral and more than 300 species of fish. Spot turtles, eagle rays, nurse sharks, and the famous splendid toadfish, found only in Cozumel.
2 Cenote Dives Discover the magic of the cenotes, part of the world’s largest underwater cave system. These ancient formations offer a surreal diving experience with crystal-clear water, stunning stalactites, and mesmerizing light effects.

Program and Schedule
Day 1 – Playa del Carmen Reef Diving
- Meeting Time: 7:45 AM (morning dives) / 12:00 PM (afternoon dives) at Dune Mexico Dive Center
- Dive Sites: Local reefs in Playa del Carmen
- Return Time: 12:00 PM (morning dives) / 2:30 PM (afternoon dives)
Day 2 – Cozumel Marine Park Diving
- Ferry Departure: Take the 8:00 AM ferry from Playa del Carmen to Cozumel
- Arrival in Cozumel: Take a taxi to Dune Cozumel Dive Center
- Dive Sites: Stunning walls and reefs in Cozumel Marine Park
- End Time: Around 3:00 PM
Day 3 – Cenote Diving Adventure
- Meeting Time: 7:45 AM at Dune Mexico Dive Center
- Dive Sites: Two breathtaking cenotes in the jungle
- Return Time: Around 3:00 PM

Sanitation and Well-Being Supervisor
Bersabeth Pérez Vázquez, from Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas, has been living in Playa del Carmen for two years. A nature and animal lover, she is passionate about protecting their rights and enjoys traveling and walking along the beach. She dreams of becoming a nurse to help others. Her positive energy and love for the ocean make her a wonderful presence.

Driver & Tankero
Omar Molina, originally from La Venta, Tabasco, assisting with dive equipment maintenance, store support, and customer transportation. Always with a smile, he strives to provide a comfortable and safe experience for every visitor. Passionate about video games and sports, he enjoys the dynamic environment at Dune. He dreams of becoming a dive instructor or a tour driver and learns something new every day to get closer to his goal.
Killian
Instructor
Killian is from Bordeaux, France, where it’s too cold to work during the winter. After a couple of months in Playa del Carmen, he’s enjoying the warm weather and the lively diving scene. With 4 years of experience as an instructor, he’s also a lifeguard and has studied English literature. A CMAS, PADI, and SSI instructor, Killian loves exploring rocks and cenotes. He speaks English, French, and is learning Spanish to better connect with the local community and divers.

Box Fish
The boxfish is a uniquely shaped fish with a boxy, armored body covered in hexagonal plates. Often found near coral reefs, they are slow swimmers but fascinating to watch as they hover and forage for food. With their vibrant colors and gentle nature, boxfish are a captivating addition to any underwater encounter.
Lobster
Lobsters are fascinating crustaceans often spotted on night dives, hiding in crevices along coral reefs. Known for their long antennae and vibrant coloring, these creatures are skilled at navigating the reef’s rocky terrain. Observing a lobster’s graceful movements and unique features is always a memorable experience underwater.
Eagle Ray
The eagle ray is a graceful, spotted marine ray known for its long wingspan and distinct, leopard-like spots. Often seen gliding through tropical waters, these rays are powerful swimmers, capable of making impressive leaps above the water. They feed mainly on mollusks and crustaceans, using their strong jaws to crush shells, and are a mesmerizing sight for divers.
