Have you ever wondered what it's like to breathe underwater? If you'd like to find out, the Discover Scuba Diving course will let you try diving for the first time.
Although you won't receive any certification, Discover Scuba Diving will teach you how to use diving equipment correctly, and will enable you to familiarize yourself quickly, easily and safely with the underwater world. You'll discover the reefs of the Caribbean Sea, with thousands of colorful fish, turtles, barracudas and thousands of marine species...
The fun part:
There's nothing like breathing underwater for the first time and admiring the fish and this silent world. It takes a little getting used to - after all, humans weren't designed for it - but after a few minutes, most participants realize that diving is really easy.
The biggest challenge for instructors is not getting people into the water, but getting them out at the end of the dives because they enjoyed it so much!
You'll learn the basics of diving under the direct supervision of a PADI professional. You'll experience breathing, seeing and moving underwater, giving you a taste of the underwater world.
What to expect :
Full briefing: Our experienced instructor will give you a full briefing on scuba diving basics and safety procedures.
Pool Exercise: You'll receive personalized guidance as you perform some basic in-water exercises during the morning pool session.
Exploration and fun: Once you've completed your morning exercises in the pool, you'll dive into Playa del Carmen's rich marine life, creating unforgettable memories underwater. Two magnificent immersions await you in the Caribbean Sea.
Program and Schedule :
This course is divided into 3 parts. To begin, meet at 8:30 am at our dive center.

Briefing: Meet at 8:30 am. Your professional PADI instructor will explain some theory and we'll make sure you understand the important rules of diving.

Pool / confined water: 10:00 am. Your PADI Professional Instructor will demonstrate the basic skills required to dive in a pool in a peaceful environment. Once you've seen how everything works in the water, it's your turn. The pool session prepares you for exciting dives.

Sea dives: Starts at 12.00 p.m. We're off ... a little briefing and let's go diving, admiring the incredible marine life and colorful shallow reefs of Playa del Carmen.
Marvel at two dives in the Caribbean Sea. Each dive lasts approximately 45 minutes.
Return to the dive center around 4:30 pm.

Mégane
Instructor
Mégane discovered diving in Mexico before heading to Bali, where she became an instructor after completing her Divemaster and IDC there. Now based in Playa del Carmen, she splits her time between the ocean and managing the dive center as Base Leader alongside Célia. Passionate, patient, and always smiling, she especially loves being underwater, where she can share her passion with divers of all levels.
Lucio
Instructor
Lucio Velasco Tadeo, originally from Oaxaca, has lived in Playa del Carmen for 19 years. He is a Catamaran Instructor and Windsurf Instructor, and started diving in 2004, becoming a certified instructor in 2009. In addition to his passion for water sports, he is a certified lifeguard and speaks some German and English. His dedication and experience in the water make him an excellent guide for those looking to explore the sea safely and enjoyably.

Vicente, our boat captain, is much more than just a sailor: he’s the true guardian of the oceans! With a smile as wide as the horizon and humor as refreshing as a sea breeze, he watches over our vessels with the discipline of a captain. When he's not navigating through the waves, he reminds us that the oceans aren’t trash bins and that even a small action matters in protecting them. In short, with Vicente at the helm, we feel safe, but always ready to laugh and discover the wonders of the sea!

Barracuda
The barracuda is impressive in that it sometimes stays still and waits for prey to approach during its hunting trips! With the adult measuring 80 cm in length on average, its streamlined silhouette and strong jaws make it clearly identifiable.
Moray eel
A snakelike fish, the moray eel is a shy creature that does not completely show itself. Hidden away in rocks and corals and with a body measuring up to 3 metres in length, it is only very rarely seen. From between the rocky walls, it lashes out to attack its prey at lightning speed, trapping it between its serrated jaws.
Octopus
The octopus is unmistakable and cannot be confused with any other ocean-swelling animal. Its eight tentacles lined with suction cups allow it to move smoothly and seek refuge if danger arises. Like a chameleon, it will readily change colour to blend in with the background!
