Skip the long ferry ride and dive straight into Cozumel’s breathtaking marine park! Traveling by speedboat means you’ll reach the dive sites faster and return earlier, making it the perfect option for those who want to maximize their day. While you won’t step foot on the island, you’ll get to experience the world-class underwater landscapes that make Cozumel one of the top dive destinations in the world.
Cozumel’s marine park, established over 20 years ago, is home to over 30 species of coral and more than 300 species of fish. With crystal-clear visibility up to 60 meters, dramatic drop-offs, and well-preserved coral formations, the island’s waters are a paradise for divers of all levels. From exploring deep blue walls to spotting turtles, eagle rays, and the elusive Splendid Toad Fish, every dive in Cozumel is an unforgettable experience.
With this speedboat excursion, you’ll enjoy two incredible dives before heading back to Playa del Carmen around midday—giving you more time to relax and enjoy the rest of your day in the Riviera Maya.
Program and Schedule :
To get to Cozumel by speed boat from Playa del Carmen: Nothing could be easier.
- Meet at our dive center at 7: 45 am
- We will have you try out the equipment and complete the paperwork
- And then … off we go!
- It takes about 1 hour to cross from the beach in Playa del Carmen
- Once you arrive on site you will go on two dives on two different dive sites, chosen by us and the guide on site according to the weather conditions
- You will be back in Playa del Carmen at about 1pm.

Omar
Driver & Tankero
Omar Molina, originally from La Venta, Tabasco, assisting with dive equipment maintenance, store support, and customer transportation. Always with a smile, he strives to provide a comfortable and safe experience for every visitor. Passionate about video games and sports, he enjoys the dynamic environment at Dune. He dreams of becoming a dive instructor or a tour driver and learns something new every day to get closer to his goal.
Killian
Instructor
Killian is from Bordeaux, France, where it’s too cold to work during the winter. After a couple of months in Playa del Carmen, he’s enjoying the warm weather and the lively diving scene. With 4 years of experience as an instructor, he’s also a lifeguard and has studied English literature. A CMAS, PADI, and SSI instructor, Killian loves exploring rocks and cenotes. He speaks English, French, and is learning Spanish to better connect with the local community and divers.
Mégane
Instructor
Mégane discovered diving in Mexico before heading to Bali, where she became an instructor after completing her Divemaster and IDC there. Now based in Playa del Carmen, she splits her time between the ocean and managing the dive center as Base Leader alongside Célia. Passionate, patient, and always smiling, she especially loves being underwater, where she can share her passion with divers of all levels.

Moray eel
A snakelike fish, the moray eel is a shy creature that does not completely show itself. Hidden away in rocks and corals and with a body measuring up to 3 metres in length, it is only very rarely seen. From between the rocky walls, it lashes out to attack its prey at lightning speed, trapping it between its serrated jaws.
Splendid Toad Fish
The splendid toadfish is a captivating species endemic to Cozumel, known for its striking appearance with a mottled pattern that aids in camouflage. Often found hiding among coral crevices or resting on the seafloor, this elusive fish's curious nature and unique look make it a fascinating sight for divers exploring the waters around the island.
Nurse Shark
The nurse shark is a gentle, bottom-dwelling shark commonly found in warm, shallow waters. Known for their calm nature, nurse sharks pose no threat to humans and are often seen resting on the ocean floor during the day. Their docile behavior and distinctive appearance make them a favorite sight for divers and snorkelers.
