Welcome to DUNE Mexico - Mexico
Nitrox Course with DUNE Mexico
Want to make the most of your time underwater? The PADI Nitrox Course, officially known as the PADI Enriched Air Diver course, teaches you how to plan and dive safely with enriched air nitrox. It’s one of PADI’s most popular specialty courses and a valuable addition to your diving skills.
Enriched air nitrox contains a higher percentage of oxygen and a lower percentage of nitrogen than standard air. When used with the correct planning and depth limits, it can extend your no-decompression limits on certain dives, giving you more flexibility underwater. It’s important to understand that nitrox does not automatically make a dive safer, eliminate decompression stops, or reduce fatigue.
What Will You Learn?
During your PADI Nitrox Course with DUNE Mexico, you’ll learn how to:
- Understand the benefits and limitations of nitrox: Learn how enriched air can affect your dive planning and no-decompression limits.
- Recognize the risks: Understand oxygen exposure, maximum operating depth, and the importance of staying within the correct limits.
- Plan your dives: Calculate key dive parameters and select appropriate depth limits for your chosen nitrox mix.
- Prepare your equipment: Learn the procedures for checking and handling enriched air cylinders.
- Use dive planning tools: Practise using enriched air tables and compatible dive computers to plan your dives correctly.
Learn at Your Own Pace
Your training includes the PADI Enriched Air Diver e-learning course, which you’ll receive before your practical session. Study from home and work through the learning materials at your own pace, so you can arrive prepared to review the key concepts with your instructor.
Whether you’re planning longer reef dives or want to expand your diving knowledge, the PADI Nitrox Course is a practical way to develop your skills and make informed decisions about your dives.
